Welcome Back to School!

It's great to be back!  We have had a busy summer getting ready with the new classroom and getting everything set up.  I will be posting pictures soon in the classroom section on the blog.  For now I thought I would let you see a few things we are doing during our class time.  We are currently doing a color themed unit and each day we wear the color we are focusing on.  We have been practicing the colors in many ways including singing one of my favorite all time children's songs "Scat the Cat".  The words to the song are as follows:

I'm Scat the ________ cat (insert color of cat on blank line)
I'm happy and fat
If you don't like my color I can change it like THAT!

(When we say the word THAT the kids clap and I switch the cat to the next color and he "magically" changes his color)
