Hi my name is Mrs. Brooksby and I am the owner/teacher of Morning Light Preschool. I am a wife and also a mother of three darling children. I have been working with kids ever since I can remember. From age ten and on I was constantly in demand as a babysitter in my local neighborhood. I started teaching at age fifteen as a private literacy teacher for a family owned tutoring business. I received my Bachelors degree from Utah State University where I studied Family and Human Development. While in college I spent three years working as an America Reads Tutor at Ellis Elementary school. I have also worked as an assistant preschool teacher for Jandora's Preschool in Orem, Utah, a Head Start teacher in Salt Lake, a psychiatric technician for Primary Children's Hospital, a counselor for Kids Zone in Henderson, Nevada, and Lead teacher for Kids on the Block Preschool located in Daybreak. I also have experience as owner and teacher for five years at Morning Light Preschool in Herriman, Utah and am thrilled to be teaching at our newer location in Traverse Mountain which I have now been teaching at for almost four years. I am very passionate about teaching and I absolutely love what I do! My promise as a teacher is that I will always strive to do my best and I will constantly look for new ways to enhance your child's learning experience.
