These are always fun to make with preschoolers! I just use plastic lacing material taped to the table then have the kids string it however they like. The nice thing about the plastic lacing material is that it doesn't fray. This makes it so that the kids are able to bead the necklace with little to no assistance. I love how they all come up with such different designs. Some use patterns, some like all the same beads, some make them long, others short. Creativity in action! We also used patterning grids to make patterns with different types of noodles (Ex: Tubes, wheels, shells, elbow).

N is for Noodle Sensory Play
This was super fun for the kids to get to make believe and play with noodles. I threw in pots, pans, dishes and utensils to create, imagine and cook up a good time!

We graphed which noodle we liked better.
N is for Numbers
I got the idea for doing number art using Jasper John's Techniques HERE. Some of theirs were done with oils and were done by older children. I was pleased with the results!
Counting noodles on number cards-great for one to one correspondence in a very visual way.
Adding Unifex cubes. Also, a very visual demonstration for adding two numbers together.
