And I think it's safe to say that butterflies emerging from cocoons are one of the greatest parts of spring! These activities would also work for b for butterfly, c for chrysalis/cocoon etc. I just wanted to fit butterflies into our curriculum for this year because it is SUCH a fun and educational unit and the kids REALLY enjoy this one. For part of the unit we did some more patterning, size sorting, capital to lowercase matching, and butterfly clip counting.
