Since we are currently focusing colors and color words naturally for the color red we had to read "The Little Red Hen". This is a favorite for me and we had so much fun reading the flannel story together, graphing whether we would help the little red hen or not if she asked us too and then of course we HAD to make our own bread! Since all the kids helped make their own they got to eat some and we had yummy RED strawberry jam and RED punch to go with it! Many of the kids commented on how good everything smelled while the bread was baking. YUM!
