Grab and Go Letters

Now this is a way to get up and moving while learning the letters.  I found this and many of my learning movement activities HERE.  To play the game you first write the alphabet letters (or numbers, sight words, shapes etc.)  onto coffee filters, small paper plates, or like I did just copied letters on paper and cut out in the shape of a circle.  Next you attach them to string and then use painters tape and stick them to the ceiling.  Now just let your kids have fun jumping up and grabbing the letters.  When they got the letter I had them tell me the name and the sound the letter. Since this is the first time I ever played this game with the kids I misjudged how high they could actually jump.  So, I ended up putting them on the door frame (about a foot lower) to help out.  The kids were good to wait while I did this and after we got it up and running, they had a great time!  They asked to play this game again at toy time, so I just quickly replaced them after each child took their turn so it would be ready for them.
