Our poem for this month was inspired by the book The Kissing Hand byAudrey Penn. We practiced it each day in September. We started off the year doing some Kissing Hand activities including having all the mom's trace their child's hand and kiss it with lipstick. They sent it with their child the first day of school with a note telling them how much they love them. I read the story to them and then read them each their own note and gave them a chocolate kiss. The notes were received with lots of smiles from the kids! Great way to begin the year!
