We played Pin the Nose on Rudolph and what a nose it was. When we were finished he looked like one nosey guy.
We decorated gingerbread people and made some grinchy punch.
Preschoolers are experts at loading those bad boys up with candy.
We did a little Rudolph rhyming game/story. I know he's looking a bit pale this year. I had a little accident with his old face and so we just had to go with it this time around. No one minded. Next year he should be back to normal!
We had a little decorating dash to see which team could decorate their tree the fastest. This was fun to watch how they all had such a different decorating styles. Some were much more concerned with how meticulous it looked and others were clearly in it to win it.
We did a little Christmas Cookie Cutter Stamping, using red, green & yellow to make it nice and jolly.
We made these deer print ornaments for moms and dads for Christmas. I couldn't post these till after Christmas cause I didn't want to spoil the surprise. I found them on pinterest somewhere and had wanted to make them for a while. However, they didn't have poem to go with them which I wanted. So.......I decided to make one up myself. Hopefully it wasn't too horrible, I'm not much of a poet, you know it...haha. OK that was just plain sad.
We did lots of singing and dancing and of course included Jingle Bells into the music scene. We had little bells for the kids to shake.
We played Santa, Santa, Where's Your hat and also What's in the Stocking (a touch and feel guessing game)
We also had a Christmas themed sensory tub all week to discover and create all sorts of Christmas cheer. I used elbow noodles and bowtie noodles as the base. I dyed them red and green using rubbing alcohol and food coloring. Sensory tub is a VERY popular playtime spot. Good thing we always have room for everyone!
