Beware of these silly pirates or you may have to walk the plank too! Shiver me timbers! Each kid took a turn walking the plank which meant they balanced across the chalk line (with a pirate patch over their eye to make it even trickier). If they "fell in" the water with the sharks they would need to read the sight word to be saved. It was a real swashbuckling time! Also, they made the cute hats by cutting around the pirate hat template and cut the strips so I could attach it to their heads.
